I wasn't ready to say goodbye

A gentle, child-centred story about grief, loss and learning to live with the feelings that come when someone or something we love is no longer with us.
Through Bród’s journey, children are supported to understand that sadness can look and feel different for everyone, and that there is no single “right” way to grieve. Drawing on The Bród Method® Framework, the story gently encourages children to notice their feelings, seek support from trusted adults and find meaningful ways to remember and stay connected to those they have loved.
Created by social worker and children’s author Deirdre McCarthy, this book includes simple therapeutic activities that can be used at home or alongside a helping professional.
